Welcome
A letter from our Managing Partner
Dear Prospective Colleague:
As you begin to look for your first professional opportunity, you will find that firms vary in many important respects, including size, diversity of practice, training, level of responsibility and pro bono opportunities. We’re delighted that you are considering Edwards Wildman Palmer. It’s important for you and for us to look at each other carefully and see that we make a good match. After all, we hope we will be together for many years.
Here’s what you should know about us: Our summer classes are small and select. Our summer associates perform challenging work for our most important clients, while at the same time building relationships with colleagues. The small size allows us to customize the program to meet the individual interests of each summer associate and provide extensive opportunities for training and feedback. We also offer pro bono opportunities that give summer associates the chance to move beyond traditional research assignments.
At Edwards Wildman, we pride ourselves on our commitment to fostering diversity of all kinds and creating a work environment that is supportive and inclusive. Outside of your home, you will most likely spend more time at the office than anywhere else. We want everyone at Edwards Wildman—attorneys and support staff—to feel comfortable here and look forward to coming to work each day.
We work hard to ensure that by the end of the summer you will have had a meaningful work experience and will have seen the professional rewards of being an associate at Edwards Wildman. Equally important, we trust that we will have come to know and appreciate one another so that the match that begins this summer will continue into the future.
We look forward to exploring the possibility of your joining our team.
Robert Shuftan,
Managing Partner
